Language, Literacy and Numeracy Practitioner Scholarships Program – NOW OPEN!!!!

A note came into my mailbox the other day stating the scholarship program for the LLN application process is again open!

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to gain an edge with your RTO and offer LLN support.

The Federal government is seeking to assist in addressing skill shortages in the adult LLN field in Australia by increasing the number of qualified LLN practitioners, particularly in regional areas. I encourage all of you who have clients with LLN needs to review the information.

The Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Practitioner Scholarships Program The Program provides a scholarship of up to $5,250 to successful applicants to support them in undertaking approved study toward an adult LLN practitioner qualification commencing in the academic year following the application round.

The Program is targeted at:

  • new entrants (individuals with no prior qualifications as teachers or trainers) who wish to gain an adult LLN qualification and enter the field;
  • vocational trainers wishing to gain an adult LLN specialisation and enter the field; and
  • individuals with prior relevant training (eg generalist teachers) wishing to ‘up-skill’ into an adult LLN specialisation with the intention of entering the field.

Indigenous Australians are strongly encouraged to apply.

Please see the link below if you are interested and note that applications close on Monday 17 October 2011.

    1. Hi Jill
      Have a look on training.gov.au as there a number ofsolutions that might fit your need. This is a very useful site to start your search for the qualification you are looking for, plus which RTOs are delivering them.
