Your marketing is extremely important to business development; it brings in the money. Good marketing shows your brand, who you are, what you do, and to whom you provide services. It should address your customers’ problems and show how your training solves those problems. Defining certain qualities of your business in your marketing means your customers are willing to exchange their money for the values provided by your business. Make sure it is LIKEABLE to your target market.
Identify how your clients will see your RTO for the first time; how can you make an impact for that first impression?
And for an RTO there is so much more to marketing that you need to consider.
Is your website up-to-date with the latest codes for your scope? Ensure marketing materials and student information has the latest version of the training package/ qualification on them. Ensure your material only includes the courses you actually have on scope.
How do you provide information to your learners? Is it accurate? Does it allow the learner to make an informed decision on using your RTOs services?
Review the NRT and AQF logos and the conditions of use. Ensure your marketing is accurate in how you train, assess and support your clients, as well as what outcomes they receive.
All the above are areas that should be regularly reviewed within your RTO, however with new standards about to be released it is important actions take place in the next few months.
