Just when you thought everything was plain sailing and your life looked destined for the beach…along came NVR.
There is allot of information out today the changes for those RTOs wishing to register under the new NVR.
The changes might seem huge but in fact they are not. Firstly there are acronym changes: Standards for NVR Registered Training Organisations is SNR.
Then there is the issue of the AQTF versus the Standards for NVR Registered Training Organisations. The AQTF 2010 has 2 versions of the Standards and conditions, one for initial registration and one for continuing registrations. In the new document the Standards and Conditions are all referred to as “Essential Standards” and the SNRs are all listed for both situations (i.e. initial and continuing registration)
SNR 4 to 14 are for initial registration and the SNRs 15 to 25 relate to continuing registration.
While the some of the terminology and layout is new, the actual standards remain largely unchanged from those in the AQTF. The Standards for NVR Registered Training Organisations express all requirements as standards. Unlike in the AQTF, there is no differentiation between ‘conditions ‘ and ‘standards’.
The Initial registration comparison table provides a comparison between the Standards for NVR Registered Training Organisations—Essential Standards for Initial Registration and the AQTF Essential Conditions and Standards for Initial Registration.
The Continuing registration comparison table provides a comparison between the Standards for NVR Registered Training Organisations—Essential Standards for Continuing Registration and the AQTF Essential Conditions and Standards for Continuing Registration.
There also will be changes to fees…but that will be discussed in a later post. For now enjoy your reading and updating of your information.
