There are some very useful documents on the ASQA website. I specifically draw your attention to the:
- Application guide for Initial RTO registration and
- the Application guide for continuing RTO registration.
They are very useful documents and specifically the information required to be submitted for the initial registration.
If you are setting up a new RTO then I recommend you have a look. The sorts of information they are requesting includes:
- Information about your business structure
- Ownership, management and control of the organisation
- Whether you have any other business operating within Australia or outside Australia
- History of the applicant
- Information on your planned scope, who the CEO will be, location and context (Business Plan)
- Insurances to be arranged or held
- Self-assessment report
- Fees – to students
- Fees and options taken by the RTO
- Information on the Database you will use to manage student records
- Policies on recognising AQF qualifications and issue testamurs
- Evidence of proposed marketing
- Strategy to manage transition from Training Packages/accredited courses
Then comes the risk assessments and audits.
